COWA was founded in 1998 by CEO Corinne Walker. Having experienced relocation herself throughout her whole life, Corinne wanted to facilitate the lives of other expatriate families.

COWA started out as a small business and soon prospered because of Corinne´s legendary ability to set up required resources for clients. Today, COWA has headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany and Detroit, Michigan in the United States, as well as operating in a number of satellite offices throughtout the US.

COWA employees are professional, bilingual, and insightful individuals with different expatriate backgrounds. They have a deep understanding of expatriate family needs mainly because they have `been there, done that`themselves.

The REAL ID Act establishes minimum security standards for license issuance and production and prohibits Federal agencies from accepting for certain purposes driver’s licenses and identification cards from states not meeting the Act’s minimum standards. The purposes covered by the Act are: accessing Federal facilities, entering nuclear power plants, and, boarding federally regulated commercial aircraft.
